About Us

JATL is a student society that aims to promote student discussions about the intersection between the law and social justice, whilst providing opportunities for professional networking and career development. We welcome students and professionals from all backgrounds!

JATL’s Key Objectives

• Raising awareness of the interaction between the law and social justice

• Examining the social context surrounding the legal system

• Facilitating discussion about the law and its implications

• Professional networking and career development.

We achieve these goals by hosting professional networking functions, bringing legal professionals together for panel discussions, organising an academic paper competition and publishing an annual academic journal. The team at JATL is also proud of our fundraising efforts for underfunded legal organisations at our Annual Fundraising Gala.
